More than 160 people gathered to celebrate Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals on Friday, January 20, 2012. The Annual Launch Event highlighted the commitment and energy young professionals have for Grand Forks, as well as where the organization is headed in the future.
Lieutenant Governor Wrigley had the opportunity to visit with the group and was excited by all the ways GGFYP members take an interest in their community. “It’s not an accident,” said Lt. Governor Wrigley. “It takes this. It takes what you’re doing. We either grab onto opportunities and enrich them or six generations from now, we’ll look back and say can you believe how they squandered that?”
“I hope you know that people are watching what you’re doing and they are very, very impressed,” he said. “They are impressed in the sense of your professionalism, your drive, your ambition, your sense of community. So let me just say congratulations in advance. I want to come to all of your retirement parties – I have a feeling I know what they are going to be like. You’re doing great things.”
Congratulations to Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals!
